Tour Toledo, a World Heritage City, spectacular mixture of Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures. Learn about its fantastic heritage and discover how the coexistence of cultures over the centuries influenced its current architectural style.
Walk between the cloisters of the courtyard and the royal coat of arms in the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. Admire the building sponsored by Queen Elizabeth of Castile to become a royal mausoleum, the most important building built by the Catholic Monarchs. Right after the visit we will walk to the Synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca. Originally built as a synagogue, it was expropriated and became a church only 211 years after opening its doors. Today, it is a fantastic Mudéjar style museum that you will visit. Admire the world famous painting of El Greco, The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, in the Church of Santo Tomé. The guided tour will end in front of the Cathedral of Toledo, considered the most important Gothic style in Spain.
If you choose the cathedral tour, yyou can visit the monument built on the remains of an old Arab mosque and constructed during the thirteenth century. Visit of the interior and Sacristy, full of works of art, and where there are fifteen works of El Greco.
Afterwards, you will have free time to explore Toledo on your own before returning to Madrid.
